Scenic Drives

Stan's Notes

Vicky and I recently took the grands to Tetons and Yellowstone.  I drove and met the family who flew into Jackson Hole and then Vicky and I took a (very) long way home.  The theme of the trip was scenic drives – as we were able to hit several of the most scenic drives I have done across the country.   For me a scenic drive is as good or better than the destination.  The really good ones are “clean your windshield” worthy.  Below are my top scenic drives so far in the US and Canada.  What are your favorite scenic drives?

Road to the Sun (Glacier NP)

Icefields Parkway (Banff to Jasper)

Road to Hana (Maui)

Beartooth Pass (out northeast entrance of Yellowstone)

CA coast – (Big Sur)

Zion – Mt Carmel Hwy (Zion NP Utah)

Badlands NP Loop Road – South Dakota

Needles Highway (Black Hills South Dakota)

Million Dollar Highway (Ouray to Silverton CO)

Avenue of the Ancients (near Redwood NP)

Trail Ridge Road (Rocky Mountain NP)

Independence Pass (Aspen CO)

Thank you God for scenic drives.

Toodling and Noodling, Stan
